Seven motorcycles seized, 76 summonses issued during Subang Jaya traffic ops

SUBANG JAYA: Police seized seven motorcycles and issued 76 traffic summonses for various offences during Ops Bersepadu (Ops Motosikal) conducted at Jalan Jurutera, Kampung Seri Aman, Puchong, on Sunday (June 21).

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the operation, which began at about 5.30pm, was conducted by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Subang Jaya district police headquarters in collaboration with the Bukit Puchong police station.

"The operation was carried out to detect and take action against road users committing various traffic offences, as well as to curb activities that could endanger the safety of other road users.

"During the operation, 85 individuals and 53 motorcycles were inspected. A total of 76 summonses were issued for various traffic offences, while seven motorcycles were seized for further action," he said in a statement on Monday (June 22).

ACP Wan Azlan said police viewed street gangsterism and illegal racing activities seriously as such acts not only violated the law but also had the potential to cause accidents and loss of life.

"Operations such as these will continue from time to time to ensure the safety and well-being of road users are always safeguarded. Members of the public with information on illegal racing or street gangsterism activities are urged to contact the nearest police station or call the Subang Jaya district police headquarters at 03-7862 7222," he said.
