KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 245 female trainees have completed the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 Series 2/2026 after undergoing 45 days of training since April 25.
Fourth Division Commander Mejar Jeneral Mohd Shauari Mat Piah said the programme had succeeded in shaping participants into more confident, disciplined and resilient individuals compared to when they first enrolled.
He said the Madani government aimed to produce a "future-proof generation" capable of navigating global uncertainties with a proactive mindset, sharp thinking and mental resilience.
"The world in 2026 demands more than just physical strength. The future will be increasingly challenging and uncertain.
"As such, young people must possess a proactive attitude, intellectual sharpness, clarity of thought and the strength of character to face every challenge and obstacle," he said in his speech at the PLKN 3.0 Series 2/2026 Passing-Out Parade at Kem Rejimen 515 Askar Wataniah here on Monday (June 8).
Mohd Shauari reminded trainees to uphold the values of compassion, volunteerism and camaraderie fostered throughout the programme, while remaining ready to serve communities regardless of race or religion.
He stressed the importance of unity among Malaysia's multiracial society and encouraged trainees to become agents of social cohesion by promoting mutual respect and understanding.
"I am certain that our Wira Muda have gone through a truly unique phase of life.
"It is here that Malays, Chinese, Indians, Ibans, Kadazans and others shared meals, rested side by side and endured challenges together without a trace of suspicion.
"Sports and PLKN are two powerful platforms that unite us without conditions," he said.
He reminded trainees to use social media responsibly and avoid cyberbullying, which could undermine the dignity and well-being of others.
He said surveys conducted since the programme's implementation showed improvements in patriotism, loyalty to the nation, racial unity and tolerance, discipline, as well as the development of a more mature and responsible character among participants.
