PETALING JAYA: DAP will defend all its incumbent seats in Johor and Negri Sembilan in the upcoming state polls, party secretary-general Anthony Loke said.
The party is also seeking to contest additional constituencies in Johor, Loke said.
He noted that the decision was made during the party's Central Executive Committee meeting on Thursday (June 4).
"DAP will defend all its incumbent seats in Johor and Negri Sembilan and will contest several additional seats in Johor," Loke said in a statement on Friday (June 5).
The move remains subject to the final outcome of negotiations with Pakatan Harapan component parties by the end of this week.
Loke added that the selection process for candidates representing DAP in the state elections will be determined by a Candidate Selection Committee.
The five-member committee comprises Loke, DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo, deputy chairman Nga Kor Ming, DAP Wanita chief Teo Nie Ching and parliamentary leader Chong Chieng Jen.
