Man found dead in pool of blood outside Pekan Nenas restaurant


JOHOR BARU: A 22-year-old man was found dead in a pool of blood outside a restaurant here in Pekan Nenas.

Pontian OCPD Supt Hadzrat Hussien Mion Hussain said police received a report about the incident at about 3.53am on Thursday (May 21).

“The man, who is a local, was found unconscious with serious injuries to his hands and legs. He was pronounced dead at the scene and investigations are still ongoing,” Hadzrat Hussien said in a statement.

He added that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

“Police are actively investigating the motive behind the incident and tracking down the suspect involved,” he said.

He urged those with information related to the case to contact investigating officer ASP Ahmad Shah Abdul Rasheed at 019-757 8020 or visit the nearest police station.

He also advised the public against making speculation or spreading unverified information that could affect investigations.
