Aaron Ago launches Unity Week, announces free admissions to museums

KUALA LUMPUR: National Unity Minister Aaron Ago Dagang said the country must treat diversity as a national strength and not a source of division.

He made the remarks on Saturday (May 16) at the launch of the Central Zone Unity Week 2026 celebration and the Youth Overnight at the Museum programme here.

Aaron said 19 museums under the Museums Department will offer free admission to Malaysians on May 18. He said the offer marks International Museum Day 2026.

Aaron said National Unity Week has run since 2023 and is now in its fourth year. He said this year's programmes cover six zones, including Perak, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Miri and Sabah.

Aaron said the Kuala Lumpur event includes more than 30 activities. He said Johor will host the International Museum Day 2026 celebration from June 23 to June 30.
