Passers-by help stranded sea turtle back into the sea


PETALING JAYA: A group of passers-by helped a sea turtle believed to have been trapped among rocks at a beach here.

In a video posted on TikTok on April 22, several individuals were seen guiding the turtle away from the rocky area before helping it return to the sea.

The two-minute 18-second clip, which has garnered more than 158,000 views, shows the group working together to manoeuvre the animal to safer waters.

It is understood the turtle may have become stranded after getting caught between rocks along the shoreline.

The incident drew praise online, with many commending the group for ensuring the turtle’s safety.
