PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has been asked to provide his statement in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation into alleged abuse of power and misappropriation involving an RM1.1bil investment.
The probe involves a strategic semiconductor industry collaboration agreement between the Economy Ministry and UK-based company ARM Limited.
MACC senior director of investigations Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar said the former economy minister is scheduled to appear at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am on Monday (May 4).
"To date, a total of 22 statements have been recorded, including from ministers and senior officers from several government agencies since the investigation began on Feb 13, 2025.
"Last week, we recorded James Chai's statement over three days starting Tuesday," he said in a statement on Saturday (May 2).
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009.
