Unidentified man’s body found in Gua Musang, police probe murder


GUA MUSANG: An unidentified male body was found in a stream in a rubber plantation in Kampung Pulai here.

Gua Musang OCPD Supt Sik Choon Foo said the Gua Musang district police headquarters received a call from a member of the public regarding the discovery at 2pm on Thursday (April 23).

"The victim was found submerged in the water and trapped among rocks and wood,” he said in a statement on Saturday (April 25).

Initial police investigations found that the victim, whose nationality has yet to be determined, was believed to be in his 40s.

Sik said the body has been sent to the Forensic Unit of Gua Musang Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.

He added that the case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for further investigation, and the motive for the murder is still under investigation.
