Two accidents on Jalan Semenyih within hours, one rider hurt

KAJANG: Two separate road accidents occurred in the same area on Jalan Semenyih just hours apart, leaving one victim with minor injuries.

In a statement, Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the accidents occurred on Wednesday (April 21).

The first incident occurred at around 5.30am, when a car was believed to have skidded along the road.

"Investigations found that the car, driven by a 24-year-old local man, suddenly lost control and skidded, crashing into a lamp post on the road divider due to rainy weather and slippery road conditions. The driver was not injured," he said.

Two hours later, another road accident occurred after a car skidded following sudden braking.

A motorcycle behind it then fell when the rider attempted to avoid the car.

"The driver of the second car suffered no damage or injuries, while the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and left the scene after the incident.

"Both the car driver and the motorcyclist have yet to file a police report," he said.

He added that the Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene to clean up an oil spill from one of the cars.

"The case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59," he said.
