Fight breaks out between two rival Kota Kinabalu tour operators

KOTA KINABALU: Employees from two rival tour companies allegedly got into a fight in Jesselton Point here.

The argument was supposedly over customers, which led to several people throwing chairs at each other at around 10.30am on Sunday (March 29).

In the fracas, several kiosks of other businesses were damaged.

A businessman whose kiosk was damaged later lodged a police report.

Kota Kinabalu acting OCPD Supt Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman said they received a report from the kiosk operator but not from those involved in the fight.

"As there are elements of rioting, we will investigate and are hunting for those involved," he said in a statement on Sunday.
