Four-month-old baby's remains found buried in Melaka

ALOR GAJAH: The skeletal remains of a baby, believed to have been about four months old, were discovered buried in the compound of a house in Kelemak here on Wednesday (March 25).

The discovery was made in the morning following investigations carried out at the premises by police.

Melaka police said the case was being investigated and that further details would be released later.

Eyewitnesses, who requested anonymity, said the single-storey terraced house was located opposite a vacant unit in a relatively secluded area.

Earlier, police officers were seen digging the soil within the compound using hoes as part of efforts to find evidence.

The forensic team left the scene at about 12.30pm on the same day (March 25)
