Foreign woman found stabbed to death at Tangkak factory


TANGKAK: A foreign woman was found dead after being stabbed in the neck at a factory in the Tangkak Industrial Area here.

Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said police received information from members of the public regarding the discovery of the body at about 8.40am on Monday (March 16).

"An examination on the victim’s body found injuries to the neck.

"The body has been sent to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar for a post-mortem," he said here on Tuesday (March 17).

Supt Roslan added that acting on information, police from the Tangkak district police headquarters arrested another foreign woman at the same location.

He said the motive behind the incident has yet to be determined and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Supt Roslan urged those with information on the case to contact investigating officer Asst Supt Sharidhathul Aflaha Ismail at 019-2699 573.

He said the public can also contact the Tangkak district police headquarters operations room at 06-978 5222 to assist in the investigation.
