Fahmi: Cabinet updated on US–Malaysia trade pact, no new info yet


PUTRAJAYA: The Investment, Trade and Industry Minister has briefed the Cabinet on the United States–Malaysia Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART), but there is no further information on the matter yet, said Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.

“The Cabinet has been briefed by Datuk Seri Johari Ghani, and it is understood that he will hold talks in Washington, DC,” he said during the weekly press conference on Tuesday (March 17).

“So, at this time, there is no additional information, but I suggest that the media continue to ask questions to the MITI minister.”

On a separate matter, Fahmi said there is also no additional information on the investigation involving Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.
