Pahang Sultan, Royal family break fast with public at Kuantan field

KUANTAN: The ruler and the people are inseparable - such is the saying that aptly describes Pahang Ruler Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and his family, who graciously broke fast with the public at the Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan 1 (MBK1) field here Monday (March 16).

Also in attendance were the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, and Their Royal Highnesses' children, including the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.

In a Facebook post, the Pahang Sultanate said Al-Sultan Abdullah also took the time to greet traders and members of the public at the Mahkota Square Ramadan bazaar located next to the field and purchased food for breaking fast.

"The annual activity of breaking fast at the field with the public is among His Majesty's favourite events as it provides space and opportunity to interact with the people," the post said.

Members of the public were also seen taking the opportunity to take photographs with His Royal Highness. - Bernama
