PM Anwar attends special divisional development meeting in Sarawak


KUCHING: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday (March 13) attended a Special Divisional Development Meeting at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, as well as members of the Sarawak Cabinet.

The meeting, which lasted about an hour, formed part of the Prime Minister's working visits to each state to hold direct discussions with local leadership on development projects and the welfare of the people.

It also served as an important platform to coordinate planning between the federal government and the state government, while reviewing current issues that require attention and immediate action.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the Sukma Ria Ramadan Bazaar here before attending the Sarawak-level Madani 2026 Iftar event at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque on Friday night. - Bernama
