Trailer rams two cars, veers into drain in Sekinchan


PETALING JAYA: A trailer driver was injured after his vehicle rammed into two cars before veering into a drain at Tali Air 7, Sungai Leman, Sekinchan, late Wednesday (March 4) night.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the department received an emergency call at 10.53pm.

"A team from the Sekinchan Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene and arrived at 11.03pm.

"The accident involved a trailer that collided with two cars before skidding into a drain.

"The driver of the trailer, a local man, was found trapped in the driver’s seat," he said in statement on Thursday (March 5).

Ahmad Mukhlis said firefighters managed to extricate the victim, who sustained minor injuries.

“The victim was subsequently handed over to the Health Ministry personnel for further treatment. The operation was brought under control at 12.15am,” he added.

A total of eight personnel and one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) were involved in the operation.
