QuickCheck: Did two men on a motorcycle shoot at a lorry in Klang?


A MAN is seen sprawled on the ground in a viral video, said to be the victim of an accident.

However, the circumstances reportedly leading to the incident set social media users buzzing.

It is claimed that the man and another individual, both on the same motorcycle, had earlier shot at a lorry in Taman Seri Kapar, Klang.

It is also said that a motorist rammed into them. Did this happen as claimed?

Police confirmed that the shooting incident took place.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the case is still in the preliminary investigation stage, with the forensic team conducting work at the scene.

He said the incident took place between 9am and 9.30am.

"What I can confirm is that the incident involved two men on a motorcycle who fired shots at a lorry," he told a press conference in Shah Alam.

"Following the incident, it is believed that another motorist who witnessed the incident rammed into their motorcycle, causing both suspects to be injured," he added.

Earlier, a video showing an accident involving the alleged suspects went viral on social media.

Comm Shazeli said the extent of the suspects' injuries, whether serious or otherwise, had yet to be confirmed.

"The identities and estimated ages of the suspects have also yet to be confirmed as the forensic team is still carrying out evidence collection.

"Further details, including the motive of the incident and any seized items, will only be made known after the investigation is completed," he said.
