Tax season back on track after MyTax outage

PUTRAJAYA: The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) MyTax portal, which experienced a technical outage, is now fully restored and operating as usual.

In a statement, LHDN said it was informed that during the hours-long outage yesterday, the MyTax portal was still accessible, though a number of users experienced system access delays. The outage began in the morning.

“IRB is committed to continuing to ensure that the service system is at an optimal level for the convenience of all taxpayers,” read the statement that formed the basis of a Bernama report.

The statement said since the e-filing service opened on Sunday, LHDN has received more than 320,000 B and BE forms from individual taxpayers for the 2025 assessment year.

“This amount reflects the level of compliance and continued commitment of taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations voluntarily,” it said.

LHDN also expressed its highest appreciation for the patience and cooperation of all taxpayers.
