JOHOR BARU: Johor has appointed a new State Secretary and State Financial Officer in a leadership transition at the state’s top administrative offices.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Johor State Secretary’s Office announced the appointment of Datuk Mohammed Ridha Abd Kadir as the 26th Johor State Secretary.
“The office extended its highest congratulations to Mohammed Ridha on his appointment and pledged its full commitment and cooperation under his leadership,” reads the statement here on Monday (Feb 16).
It said the staff of the State Secretary’s Office welcomed his leadership with respect and vowed to provide unwavering support in driving administrative excellence for the well-being of Bangsa Johor.
The statement also expressed hope that he would be guided and wise in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him.
Meanwhile, the office conveyed its appreciation to outgoing Johor State Secretary Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman, who is retiring from the post.
It described his tenure as having brought meaningful change and excellence to the Johor state administration.
The staff thanked Asman Shah for his leadership and guidance, noting that his contributions would be etched in the history of the state government’s administration.
In a separate post, the Johor State Secretary’s Office also congratulated Iskandar Regional Development Authority (Irda) chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Noorazam Osman on his appointment as Johor State Financial Officer, replacing Mohammed Ridha.
The office said the responsibility of managing and ensuring the stability and sustainability of the state’s economy is now entrusted to an experienced figure.
It expressed confidence that Mohd Noorazam would uphold integrity and transparency in strengthening Johor’s financial management for the benefit of the people.
It is learnt that the swearing-in ceremony for the new State Secretary and State Financial Officer will take place this Friday (Feb 20).
