TAMPIN: Police have arrested a 26-year-old man who allegedly took an upskirt photograph of a woman while she was shopping at a store here.

District police chief Supt Amiruddien Sariman said the suspect was arrested in Kg Baru Tampin after the alleged victim lodged a report on Monday (Jan 26).

"The 34-year-old woman claimed that the suspect had been following her while she shopped and then suddenly took an upskirt photograph of her.

"A police team detained the suspect about two hours later," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 27).

He said both the suspect and the alleged victim were civil servants.

Supt Amiruddien said police obtained a remand order for the suspect for three days until Jan 29 to assist with the investigation.
