Fuel prices Jan 8-14: Unsubsidised RON95, RON97 petrol down two and five sen respectively

KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of unsubsidised RON95 and RON97 petrol will go down by two and five sen per litre to RM3.11 and RM2.54 respectively from Jan 8 to 14, 2026.

The Finance Ministry announced that the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will also drop by five sen to RM2.89 per litre, while the price in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre.

The retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol under the Budi Madani Ron95 (Budi95) programme remains unchanged at RM1.99 per litre.

" The government will continue to review and adjust petrol RON95, RON97 and diesel retail prices in line with movements in the current global oil markets. Even so, price stability remains the foremost priority.

"The government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure people’s welfare remains intact," it said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 7).
