JOHOR BARU: Linbaq Holding Sdn Bhd has once again demonstrated its commitment to homeowners and the market by launching a free shuttle bus service for residents of its integrated development Space Residency, providing direct connectivity to Johor Baru CIQ.
The service is designed to enhance daily commuting efficiency and peace of mind — particularly for residents who work in Singapore.
The shuttle service is offered through a collaboration between Linbaq Holding and public bus operator Handal Indah.
Fully funded by Linbaq Holding, the initiative offers one year of complimentary Causeway Link shuttle services for Space Residency residents.
Connecting the development directly to the Malaysia–Singapore checkpoints, the service improves overall accessibility for residents, businesses and cross-border commuters, while also helping to increase footfall and commercial activity in the surrounding area — strengthening the precinct’s long-term growth potential.
Speaking at the event, Linbaq Holding’s Ascent series projects chief executive officer Kok Chun Siong said that from the very beginning of project planning, the company has prioritised community well-being over mere property sales.
Space Residency is an integrated development encompassing residences, serviced apartments, retail, tourism, leisure and entertainment components.
The project features two residential towers with approximately 1,000 units in total.
In addition, the internationally renowned hotel brand Novotel within the development commenced operations last month and has received strong market response.
Another major highlight is the RM15mil “Carton King” themed park and pedestrian street from Taiwan — the first paper-themed attraction of its kind in South-East Asia — which has also attracted significant attention.
Carton King themed park and Street Mall general manager Phua Shang Wei said that the attraction is currently in its final phase of fit-out and is scheduled to officially open on Jan 22.
Admission will be free and the attraction is expected to draw both domestic and international visitors, positioning it as Johor Baru’s next new tourism hotspot.
The shuttle service will also benefit guests staying at the Novotel hotel. Its general manager Chong Yea Huat noted that travellers can now commute conveniently from the Johor Baru checkpoint directly to the hotel.
This added transport option will work synergistically with the upcoming opening of the Carton King street mall, further boosting visitor flow and supporting the growth of the local tourism ecosystem.
Kok shared that Linbaq Holding will continue to launch one to two projects annually, guided by its corporate principle “Strong, Not Big”, focusing on steady and sustainable growth.
Linbaq Holding has recently introduced a new township development, Ascent Park, located in Iskandar Puteri. Spanning approximately 81ha with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM4bil, the project has received an encouraging market response since its initial launch, with strong sales performance — reflecting market confidence in Linbaq Holding’s overall planning capability and execution strength.
