Cheras cops nab suspect in molest probe


KUALA LUMPUR: Allegations that a woman was molested by an unknown man has led to the arrest of one suspect.

In a statement Friday (Jan 2), Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said that the the 21-year-old victim had lodged a police report on Jan 1.

The incident reportedly occurred at a residence in Cheras.

"The suspect and victim do not know each other and the suspect was in the area because his friend also stayed there.

"At the time of the alleged incident, the suspect was under the influence of alcohol. He has been remanded for four days from Jan 2 until 5," he said.
