Storm warning: Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected in six states, one FT until 10pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning, with thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast in six states and the Federal Territory of Labuan until 10pm Monday (Dec 29).

In a statement Monday, MetMalaysia said the areas affected include Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Pahang (Bentong nd Temerloh), Selangor (Sabak Bernama, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, and Petaling), and Negri Sembilan (Jelebu).

In Sarawak, the areas affected are Mukah (Mukah), Kapit (Kapit, Bukit Mabong and Belaga), Bintulu, Miri and Limbang, while in Sabah the areas affected are in the Interior, West Cost (Papar, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Ranau), Tawau (Tawau), and Sandakan (Tngod, Telupid, and Sandakan).
