PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s strength lies in its diversity, Deputy Prime Minister II Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof says as he extends his Christmas greetings.

“May this Christmas bring moments of joy, reflection, and togetherness, while reminding us of the importance of unity, harmony and mutual respect in our diverse society,” he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Dec 24).

“Malaysia’s strength lies in its diversity. As we celebrate this festive season, let us remain thoughtful in our words and actions and continue to respect religious, cultural and community sensitivities so that harmony and understanding are preserved for all. Our differences should not divide us but bring us closer,” he added.

He said that through tolerance, understanding and respect, every celebration can become an opportunity to strengthen national unity and social cohesion.

“Let us move forward together, setting aside differences and working hand in hand to build a sustainable economy and ensure the well-being of the rakyat. Unity in diversity remains the foundation of stability, prosperity and a hopeful future for our nation, in line with the aspirations of the government,” he said.

“May the peace, harmony and unity we share today continue to grow and be passed on to future generations,” he added.
