Dentist dies in crash with SUV near Seremban


The victim was killed on the spot in the crash near Bukit Putus

SEREMBAN: A 33-year-old dentist was killed when her car collided with a sports utility vehicle near Bukit Putus along Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah near here.

Dr S. Siinthujaa, who was based at the Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah in Kuala Pilah, died on the spot in the 8am accident on Wednesday (Dec 17).

District OCPD Asst Comm Azahar Abdul Rahim said based on preliminary investigation, the deceased was believed to have been heading to Kuala Pilah while the SUV driven by a 45-year-old woman was headed in the opposite direction when they collided.

"The deceased was believed to have lost control of her car at a bend and veered into the opposite lane.

"She suffered serious injuries and was killed on the spot," he said in a statement.

The other driver, he said, escaped injury.

ACP Azahar urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Tiew Chuan Jie at 014-9668399 or to go to the nearest police station to assist in investigations.

The case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
