Two more nabbed in Seremban gang killing case

SEREMBAN: Police have detained two more suspects in their probe into the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old driver-cum-bodyguard here.

This brings the number of suspects detained to date to five.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Azahar Abdul Rahim said the duo, in their 30s, were detained in Bagan Serai, Perak, on Monday (Dec 15).

"The duo have been remanded for five days till Dec 19.

"The remand for the three others ended on Monday but has since been extended," he said.

ACP Azahar said police had also seized a firearm from the suspects.

The victim and a 47-year-old individual were waylaid along Jalan Rasah near Mambau as they were driving towards the Port Dickson toll plaza on Dec 10.

Both the victims were found still alive at the scene and were rushed to the hospital, but the driver died while receiving treatment.

ACP Azahar said the other victim was now in stable condition.

Police believe the motive of the attack was revenge and gang rivalry.
