Bung warded for lung infection


KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is reportedly undergoing intensive treatment for a lung infection.

While the severity of his illness has not been disclosed, sources close to the family hinted that Bung Moktar had been admitted to a private hospital’s intensive care unit.

It is learnt that the Lamag assemblyman has been suffering from the infection since Nov 15 but continued campaigning for the Nov 29 state election.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor prayed for Bung Moktar’s recovery and shared a post sending well wishes on his Facebook page.

“May Allah grant strength and protection to Bung and his whole family in facing this challenge,” he added.

Several other leaders have also posted prayers and well wishes for Bung Moktar on their social media accounts.
