Perak flash flood evacuee numbers drop slightly


IPOH: The number of flash flood victims at temporary relief centres in Perak is starting to drop.

The state disaster management committee said 6,330 victims were recorded as of 2pm on Sunday (Nov 30).

It said the figure was 6,420 at 8am.

The affected districts are Larut, Matang and Selama, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.

One relief centre, Surau An Nur Hidayah in Muallim, which housed 16 victims, has closed.

The Meteorological Department forecast clear weather with no rain on Sunday.
