Perak floods: Evacuee numbers from to 5,861 on Nov 28 morning


IPOH: The number of flood evacuees in Perak saw a slight drop to 5,861 individuals as of 8am on Friday (Nov 28) from 6,970 individuals at 6am.

A state disaster management committee spokesman said 1,776 affected families were now staying at 45 temporary relief centres across six districts, down from 2,168 families earlier.

The relief centres operating include Larut, Matang and Selama, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak and Muallim.

Manjung records 2,270 individuals from 687 families housed at 18 relief centres.

In Hilir Perak, 1,635 individuals from 502 families has been placed in ten centres.

Perak Tengah follows with 1,418 individuals from 407 families across nine centres.

In Bagan Datuk has 396 individuals from 131 families in four centres.

Larut, Matang and Selama has 117 individuals from 41 families at two centres. In Muallim, 25 individuals from eight families at two centres.
