KOTA KINABALU: Local sons Kevin Lee Sip Kim and Datuk Chin Kim Hiung have a proven track record of serving the people of Tanjong Kapor and Karamunting, and they can be trusted to continue delivering for their communities, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

In two separate Facebook posts, as campaigning enters its final stretch before Sabah heads to the polls tomorrow, Dr Wee urged voters to give both candidates the opportunity to continue their work.

He said Lee was born, raised and still resides in Kudat, giving him firsthand understanding of the issues faced by Tanjong Kapor residents.

“Lee is also a leader who knows the intricacies of Tanjong Kapor, and he is always serving the community,” added Dr Wee.

He said that every vote in Tanjong Kapor is a “sacred voice” that will shape the future of Kudat, particularly the constituency itself.

On Chin, Dr Wee highlighted his extensive experience in business and economics, as well as his contributions to national sports through his role as deputy president of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia.

“He has a proven record of leadership, as he was with the national team when it won numerous gold medals, bringing pride to the country on the international stage,” he said.

“Chin has always remained close to the people of Karamunting, no matter how tough the circumstances. I am confident that, if given the mandate after Nov 29, he will honour every pledge he has made.”

Lee is Barisan Nasional’s candidate for Tanjong Kapor, while Chin is contesting under Barisan for the Karamunting seat.
