Floods no damper to Perak family's celebration of son's first birthday

PETALING JAYA: The celebration continued for a family in Perak as they hosted an “open house” in their flood-inundated home.

The family had initially planned a birthday celebration for their one-year-old son.

A TikTok user, who goes by the username @nrr.yucaaaaaa, posted a video showing the house filled with flood water while food for the party was laid out on a table.

“I wanted to celebrate my son’s first birthday… and in the end it turned into an open house,” the user wrote.

Despite the water reaching knee level, guests were seen enjoying the food and sharing moments of laughter.

The video has since gained 1,111 likes on the platform.
