Cops looking for three men behind assault on journalist


KUALA LUMPUR: Three unidentified suspects are wanted for assaulting a sports journalist on Tuesday (Nov 25).

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Hoo Chang Hook, when contacted, said that the victim sustained injuries to his face, hands and body after falling while trying to escape his assailants.

“The suspects have not yet been identified, and efforts to track and locate them are still ongoing,” he said.

Earlier, journalist Haresh Deol had taken to social media to say that he was attacked by two individuals.

“I've just been attacked by two individuals, with another taking a video of myself being attacked.

“I have just lodged a police report,” he had posted.
