Moderate earthquake hits North Halmahera, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale struck North Halmahera, Indonesia, at 12.19 pm on Thursday (Nov 20).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department, in a statement said that the quake occurred at a depth of 94km, about 105km north of Ternate, Indonesia.
