Missing teens in Cameron Highlands found safe, say cops


CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Two teenage girls reported missing in Cameron Highlands two days ago were found safe on Wednesday (Nov 19), Sinar Harian reports.

Cameron Highlands OCPD Deputy Supt Azri Ramli told the Malay language daily that the teenagers, Nurul Syuhada Mohd Faizal, 15, and her friend, Nur Damia Qaisyara Mohamad Sayuti, were found in good condition and have been returned to their families.

"We thank the online community for their awareness and cooperation with the police," Sinar Harian reported him as saying in a statement on Thursday (Nov 20).

DSP Azri advised the public against speculating about the incident.

On Wednesday, the police sought public assistance to locate the two girls reported missing since Monday (Nov 17).

According to reports received, Nurul Syuhada was wearing a green and black long-sleeved shirt, a white headscarf, and carrying a black backpack.

"Nur Damia Qaisyara was also wearing a long-sleeved shirt, a headscarf, and carrying a black backpack," he added.
