Foreigner nabbed for alleged bestiality on cat in Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested a foreigner for alleged sexual abuse against a cat here.

Acting Shah Alam OCPD Supt Ramsay Embol said that the incident occurred at an apartment in Kota Kemuning here on Saturday (Nov 15).

He said the complainant, a woman, was with her husband when she saw a naked man who appeared to be sexually abusing a cat.

"The husband rushed to the fourth floor of the building to confront the suspect but he ran away after throwing the cat off the floor," he said, adding that a police report was filed on Saturday.

"At around 4.45am the same day, police arrested a 33-year-old Nepali man," he said in a statement on Sunday (Nov 16).

He added that the suspect is a security guard at the apartment and had since been remanded until Nov 19.

It is believed that the cat survived the fall but it could not be found.

Investigations also showed that the suspect was drunk at the time.

The case is being investigated under Section 377 of the Penal Code for committing buggery with an animal and Section 428 for causing mischief by killing or maiming an animal.
