Water leakage at KLIA Terminal 1 triggered by contractor error during roofing works, says MAHB


PUTRAJAYA: The water leakage incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 on Friday (Nov 14) was caused by a contractor’s error during ongoing roof repair and waterproofing works.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), in a statement on Saturday (Nov 15), said initial investigations found that the incident occurred while major roof rehabilitation work was being carried out as part of continuous maintenance to address ageing infrastructure.
