Teen among trio held over Klang shooting incident

SHAH ALAM: Police arrested three people, including a teenager, to assist in the investigation into a shooting at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the three individuals, aged between 19 and 35, were arrested around Klang following the Nov 7 incident.

“They have been remanded until Nov 17,” he told a media conference after the disposal of a drug case here yesterday, Bernama reported.

Regarding claims that the case in Klang may be linked to a secret society, he said police are investigating all aspects.

“We need to look at it from numerous aspects based on the deceased’s (victim’s) background,” he said, without elaborating due to the matter’s sensitivity.

On Nov 11, Comm Shazeli said the victim, who was jobless, was a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) and that the 34-year-old had a criminal record.

He said that in the incident, which occurred around 11pm, a suspect fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally striking the victim, who was seated inside.
