Sabah polls: KDM ‘s Yabri Onos to vie for Kemabong seat

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Malaysia (KDM) has named its 40th candidate, Yabri Onos(pic), for the Kemabong state seat in an announcement on Friday (Nov 14).

It has also announced that there is a change of candidate in the Inanam state seat.

The earlier candidate Datuk George Guntarik was dropped to make way for businessman and former Parti Warisan grassroots leader Lewis Wong.

KDM secretary general Willie Jude said the decision was made by their supreme council, deeming the change necessary to enter the coming state election.

On another note, another native-based party Upko is set to announce their candidates later on Friday evening.

Upko president Datuk Ewon Benedick said they are looking to contest around 20 seats, with the list yet to be finalised.

Upko, previously a component of the Sabah Pakatan Harapan coalition, pulled out to stand alone in this state poll.
