MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 9pm (Nov 9)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 9pm on Sunday (Nov 9).

In a statement at 5.45pm on Sunday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai); Terengganu (Besut); Pahang (Bentong, Temerloh and Bera); Selangor (Hulu Selangor); Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol and Tampin); Johor (Kota Tinggi)

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Sri Aman; Sarikei (Julau and Meradong); Kapit (Song and Kapit); Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh); Miri (Telang Usan) and Limbang.

Areas in Sabah affected are the Interior (Sipitang, Kuala Penyu and Beaufort) and west coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang and Kota Kinabalu) as well as in the Federal Territory of Labuan.
