KJ attends Umno Youth event on Akmal's invitation

KUALA LUMPUR: Khairy Jamaluddin has attended an Umno Youth event here on Friday (Nov 7).

The event dubbed the "Nasional Roundtable Discussion 1.0", was organised by the party's youth wing chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh at Menara Dato' Onn.

The former Umno Youth chief applauded his successor for his willingness to invite him to talk at the event, according to Sinar Harian.

"I wish to thank Umno Youth – firstly for organising this event… and secondly for being brave enough to invite me today," he said.

Dr Muhamad Akmal, in his speech, said he was unsure if this would lead to disciplinary action against him.

"I don't know if I will get a ban after this or not. If I do, please invite me to speak on the 'Keluar Sekejap' podcast," he quipped.

There has been talk that Khairy is expected to rejoin Umno before the Sabah elections taking place at the end of November.

Since his expulsion, Khairy has been active on his podcast platform, "Keluar Sekejap", which now has 397,000 subscribers.
