KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast to affect several areas in Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak until 4pm on Monday (Nov 3).
The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in a statement that the areas expected to be hit in Kedah are Sik and Baling; while in Penang, the Barat Daya and Timur Laut districts are likely to experience similar conditions.
The districts expected to experience adverse weather conditions in Perak are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta and Kampar; while in Pahang, Cameron Highlands is forecast to be affected.
For Sabah, the areas likely to be affected are Pendalaman (Beaufort); while in Sarawak, it involves the districts of Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan, Sarikei and Meradong) and Mukah. – Bernama
