Malaysian man dies after being shot in Golok

GOLOK, THAILAND: A Malaysian man in his thirties has died after being shot at a house in Sungai Golok on Saturday (Nov 1).

The victim is Mohd Fuad Fahmie Ghazali from Pasir Mas, Kelantan, and he was taken to the hospital at around 6.40pm.

A Narathiwat police spokesperson said preliminary investigations suggest the case stemmed from a debt dispute.

This was based on interviews with several witnesses near the scene.

“The victim is a Malaysian citizen with a family and lives in this municipal area. The suspect is a local man who attacked the victim using a 9mm pistol,” he said.

“After shooting the victim, the suspect fled,” he added.
