MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in eight states until 1am (Oct 20)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 1am on Monday (Oct 20).

In a statement at 8.30pm on Sunday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kedah (Yan, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Penang; Perak; Kelantan (Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin) and Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Hulu Selangor).

It also warned of bad weather in Sabah affecting areas in the Interior (Nabawan and Keningau) and Sandakan (Tongod); and Sarawak, affecting Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song, Kapit and Bukit Mabong).
