Sabah polls: Wait for 'Note to Editor', says CM’s office on talk of dissolution

KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister's Office is playing down speculation that the Sabah State Assembly will be dissolved, saying that an announcement will be made when the time is right.

"The press conference on the dissolution of the Sabah State Assembly by the Chief Minister will be announced via 'Note to Editor', when the time has come.

"Your cooperation is very much appreciated." it said in a statement on Friday (Oct 3).

Speculation is rife on social media on the dissolution of the State Assembly, with many claiming that vehicles carrying state assemblymen, including Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haijiji Noor, have been seen going to Istana Negeri over the past few days.

The assembly's term automatically expires on Nov 11.
