Kadzim M Yahya reappointed Sabah assembly speaker for second term

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Kadzim M Yahya is reappointed for a second five-year term.

Kadzim received the instrument of appointment from Head of State Tun Musa Aman at Istana Seri Kinabalu on Thursday (Oct 2).

After taking the oath before Tun Musa, Kadzim signed the document witnessed by Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Datuk Azizah Nawawi.

The ceremony was also witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, state cabinet ministers, assistant ministers and senior state civil servants.

Kadzim, a lawyer by training and a former senator, was first appointed to a five-year term as Sabah Speaker on October 1, 2020, after Gabungan Rakyat Sabah formed the government following the September 2020 state election.
