Thunderstorms expected in several states until 10pm, says MetMalaysia


PUTRAJAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in several states until 10pm on Monday (Sept 29), says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the states are Kelantan (Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai), Terengganu and Pahang (Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera).

Other areas expected to be affected are Selangor (Kuala Langat, Sepang), Negeri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau), Melaka and Johor (Tangkak, Muar).

In Sarawak, the areas involved are Kapit, Bukit Mabong, Belaga, Bintulu (Tatau), Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan, Marudi) and Limbang, while in Sabah, it covers the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort) and the West Coast (Putatan).
