One-year-old boy dies in four-vehicle crash at Bukit Kajang toll

KAJANG: A one-year-old boy was killed and eight others were injured in a four-vehicle accident at the Bukit Kajang toll plaza.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the distress call was received at about 11am on Saturday (Sept 27).

“The vehicles involved were a four-wheel drive, a car, a sports utility vehicle and a lorry. The child was trapped underneath the four-wheel drive. We managed to extricate him, but he was pronounced dead by medical officers,” he added.

He said a man was also trapped under the same vehicle but was rescued and sent to hospital for treatment.

“Seven others were also injured and were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he said.
