Three KL cops nabbed for allegedly molesting, extorting student


KUALA LUMPUR: Three policemen have been arrested for allegedly molesting and extorting a student.

When contacted, city deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad confirmed the matter.

"They have been remanded for four days," he said.

He added that investigations are being conducted under Section 384 and 354 of the Penal Code.

It is believed that the policemen involved stopped the victim and her boyfriend on Jalan Sentul Pasar here.

They allegedly demanded RM10,000 from the victims and threatened to "ruin her life" if she did not have sex with one of the policemen.

The victim lodged a police report following the encounter.
