More flood evacuees in Beaufort


KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood victims in Beaufort has risen to 233 people from 69 families this morning, compared with 199 people from 64 families yesterday.

According to a statement from the Sabah Disaster Management Committee (JPBN), all evacuees have been placed at the Selagon Permanent Evacuation Centre (PPK) in Beaufort following floods that began yesterday.

"A total of eight villages have been affected by the floods in Beaufort,” the statement said. - Bernama
